I own two Dagner Design Cob Poker Pipes, both stems remove easily. Give a bit of a twist in either direction.....makes no difference. GOOD LUCK

I most often encounter Peterson stems sticking. A method passed on to me is to rock the stem, left, right, up & down, repeatedly until it comes free.

I would try after ~10-15 minutes. If the stem is still stuck try again.
