Still learning how to navigate the site. Some of ya'll know me on other sites as Basil or Basil Meadows. Thought I would use my old log on from years past. Any way, a little about myself.... Pipe smoker turned pipe maker. Not retired (yet!) so kind of having 2 jobs. Been a piper off and on since the late '70s. Got away from everything else around 2005ish. Really don't know what to say, I'm a grumpy old fart that smokes a pipe and enjoys a good joke! Can't be too bad because my wife still puts up with me. She did get me a T-shirt with Chester Cheetah on it because she said I was so cheesy. She doesn't complain when I smoke my pipe in the house because she said it's a part of who I am and she wouldn't change anything. I love going to Pipe Shows so that I can get to meet you folks. Yeah, it's nice to sell a few pipes but getting to connect a person with an avatar is great! It's a shame so many places won't allow smoking in the events. Having a pipe while indulging in some meaningful conversation, like why Wiley Coyote was never recognized for his wonderful art work on painting tunnels, is priceless. I don't get to post too often because I'm either in the shop or at work, but I do lurk when given a chance. Oh yeah, for those that don't know me... I'm Reddog Pipes. Named after a red female dachshund that had me wrapped around her paw for 14 years.
