Home late from work and have to go back early tomorrow. No time to smoke this evening. But standing in my driveway looking south towards St Charles, Il and The Pheasant Run Resort. I think I see a plume of smoke slowly rising in to the air, and their is the faint smell of Burley in the air!

Last bowl before bed; PS Luxury Navy Flake in a Lorenzo VIP Dublin Plateaux. Night all. Wow....your time is messed up....lol Have a good night’s sleep. Oh, when you have time send me a Joey, I’ll pay the custom fee’s 👌👍👍 Overseas visitors are often quite disappointed when there aren't roos hopping along the Harbour Bridge ........... that was until last year when a roo did exactly that I'm west of Sydney where suburbia meets rural & National Parks aren't too far. Just a few months ago there was a rather large roo in a front yard a couple of blocks from me. The locals said he was a regular visitor so I named him Bruce (Apparently that's stuck) Across the road from me is a rather large treed paddock where I often see roos & during the drought I'd find roo droppings on my front lawn. Getting a joey aint that easy you know, the does put up a real fight ........ I'll see what I can do

elric .........plumcake does not “ usually “ bite with a couple of years of aging. Make sure the blend is not overly moist.......enjoy!!! Dunhill My Mixture ( Babies Bottom ) BB1938 date on tin 2009 Pipe of choice: MM General Pipe with a bent stem. 👍👍 That's good to know Ted. Were it not for the bite, Plumcake would be one of my favourite blends. The tin note is superb. It's not bad value at $13.80usd for a 3.5oz tin & can be bought in bulk. I like the tins & will have to order a few more for the cellar. Speaking of which ........ Smoking a bowl of Plumcake in a 50's meerschaum lined sandblasted Heibe sml/med Dublin. Oak chocolate milk.

I like Plumcake, but I imagine it can only benefit from some age. I wish the tin note translated better to the flavor. That smell is definitely superb.

Woah!!! Havent seen you post here in a while Ron. Welcome back This Redwood taste nothing like any of the descriptions I've read. I've been smoking a bowl of it about once a week for a few months. All it taste like to me is wood. Not burning wood, not fruity wood, just like I've pit a black of wood in my mouth... maybe I'm missing something here. I I haven't been gone. I just haven't had a smoke worth posting in a long time.

I see so many fancy hard to get blends that I'll never get to try, that I start to wonder if this is all others are smoking. And there's nothing wrong with an honest blend like Carter Hall for example, in a well used cob. (When I've got a hankering for burley, I mix Carter Hall with Moes Confetti for a lovely smoke)

It can be a tough gig being a carer so don't forget to also take care of yourself.

Sutliff Holiday mixed 50/50 with Sutliff #310 Modern English in a Venini 1/4 bent Apple.
A 100+yo German pipe shop closed last year & an ebay seller auctioned off the old stock. I won heaps of brand new antique pipes up to 100yo. (If there's a tutorial here on how to post pics I'd appreciate a link)
There were several 80's Venini briars sold & I won three of them. Each one is an excellent smoker & all can pass a pipe cleaner straight to the chamber. The Venini Apple that I'm now smoking is one of my favourite pipes.
On average they cost around $30usd each.

Were you ever informed that Medicare pays for an aid to stop by a couple of hours a day to give help if needed. Call Medicare and check out what your wife is entitled to, should be NO out of pocket cost, NO co-pays. Good luck Now going to smoke.......
