So noticed something interesting last night. It might be something everybody already knows, but I just started noticing this recently and put it together last night. I have found that my favorite aromatic Hobbits Friend is better after I have a couple bowls of full bodied blends. Then last night I had a couple of bowls of Billy Budd then had a bowl of HH Old Dark Fired in the same pipe. The flavors of the Old Dark Fired were more pronounced or distinct, better, not sure how to describe it. Wondering if anyone else has found blend parings that are better then by themselves?

I'm gonna keep an eye out for this. I haven't been paying attention.

That makes sense. There are times when I have not enjoyed a particular blend that I generally like as i smoked it after a different blend. The opposite should be true. I'll watch for that as I smoke.

That s why i smoke ODF first thing. Doesn't taste as well after smoking a lat blend, but a lat blend is OK after the ODF, but it needs to be a heavier one, something like Squadron Leader doesn t work as well for me.
