Dropped in to my local Edward's today, for the first time since the owner passed away. I was told his son is keeping the place open. Got to see my favorite, crusty old salesman there: Tom. They were doing a lot of business and I picked up some Squadron Leader, Cabbie's Mixture and another tin of C&D Sanselpolcro. I opened all three to give my buddy a little of each. I have never had Cabbies or SL and am looking forward to both. Both of those smell really good and will be in my rotation for the next couple of weeks, as will the Sanselpolcro. I already love that one. Also helped my friend pick out an estate pipe. He is getting back into pipe smoking after a few decades away from it. He recently retired and is trying to get off of cigarettes. I hope the pipe helps him accomplish that. I looked at a couple of very nice meerschaums and may return for one in a few weeks. All together, it was an enjoyable, if somewhat gray and rainy day here in Denver.

Way to go Don. Reteach him right. His two old pipes are a half-bent Edwards Algerian Briar and a nice lattice Peterson meerschaum. Helped him pick out a Weber Shellbrooke estate pipe today. Neat little quarter-bent. He also picked up some bulk honey Cavendish. I bought him some pipe cleaners and am going to give him a pipe rack and some tampers.
