I won this from Tim West on Ebay tonight and I can't wait to get it. It's a Vauen Giant 438 Briar Pipe Sitter Bent Calabash.
I think I got a pretty fair deal too! It was $60.15 with tax and shipping.

Isn't it funny, the things that capture a person's attention? I love the stadium effect on the rim.

Yes, the concave rim is the feature that catches me most on this one. Nice shape, and also the contrast between smooth and rustic.

The pipe is even better than expected! It has no sign of having been smoked!

This instantly became my favorite pipe! It's big and perfectly shaped to hold with either hand and it barely ever got warm!
The first bowl was Luxury Navy Flake, outstanding!

If that thing got warm with those thick walls you'd have to really be puffing. Love the contrast of the rustication versus the smooth shank. Great grab!
