He is quite an artist. I've seen some of his pipes on Smokingpipes.com.

Very different style from most makers, well sculptured briars. Many are surely eye catchers but I think most are not for me.

Both Jose and Chris make amazing pipes. Chris's silver work is fantastic. Not many carvers delve into that in the way Chris has, recently. He even paneled one side of a recent pipe in silver. It was striking.
Jose recently did a freehandish/blowfishy thing with a black and yellow contrast stain. The finish was spectacular.

I've admired Chris' work for years. The attention to the detail of every aspect of crafting a pipe is never less than absolute, structurally as well as esthetically. If money were no object I'd own a number of his pipes. But he's beyond my pay grade.

Both are great pipe makers...each is spectacular in their own way.

I am with Sable on this. If money were no object.... Chris does beautiful work on the traditional shapes as well. The sandblasted lovat on display looks great!

Yes, traditional too! I was fortunate to acquire a fine billiard by Chris on the estate market.

Impressive, fun to look at but depressing not be talented like that.

Got to work with Chris 2 years ago on a pipe he was starting, can’t really call it a commission just more of a collaborative effort of thoughts. Here it is a straight grained Acorn with Plateau top and dark 4 knuckle bamboo shank, photo was taken after I received it. banjo

Man, Banjo, we need to put you on posters in big cities. Looking at your beautiful pipes should make almost anyone want to try pipe smoking if for just the aesthetics alone.
It could be the greatest PR of the century!
