Being from the NYC area, I’m lucky to have a ton of great pizza joints. My favorite is Airmont Pizza in Airmont NY. A slice is so big, it covers the whole plate. When I lived there, I’d get two slices for $5 and not eat for the rest of the day.

Grimaldi's has a free 16 inch pizza for my wife's birthday, so we will be trying it out tonight. happy birthday to her from me too. Have a great one. |

Thanks guys, I don’t think she looks forwards to birthdays as much as she did when we got together in ‘82, but it is what it is... free food is always good.

Yeah Caveman Dave, you were right about Grimaldi's, the wife ate two slices I ate the rest of the pie.... The salad was very fresh... the last time I had salad that good was when I got lettuce straight from the field...needless to say, I made a pig out of myself.  |

A pizza made with top quality wholesome ingredients is not unhealthy... i would go further to suggest that pizza can be a VERY HEALTHY part of one's overall diet... so long as a healthy lifestyle of some exercise and moderation of all things consumed internally are maintained with consistency. No shame. When we admit to all the other crap we eat from day to day, pizza gets an unfair rap, imo. Bon apetit'... VIVA LA PIZZA!
