I don’t know about you guys, but I will only eat the natural peanut butter. The kind with only one ingredient: peanuts. Since I started eating that, the regular stuff just tastes wrong to me. Why add fat to peanut butter?

Just had PB on rye...pretty good, actually good enough to go get round 2. Now that's a sandwich!... I love P.B. on rye; add a bit of spreadable butter and a little honey and you have a nice eye-opener with some coffee.

ABout the only peanut butter I like is the stuff I grind myself at the store. Fresh. Most of the time the machine is broken or empty. I have to flush out a store employee to re-fill the hopper. I love managing their department and will be submitting a claim for compensation. About the only commercial brand I recall truly enjoying was "Deaf Smith Peanut Butter" from, yep Pilgrim, Deaf Smith County, Texas. 100 Valencia nuts. No added oil, salt, sugar, nor nutin' else. Naturally, it has not been made since the 1970s 'cause anything good must be taken off the market. There are some Hippy brands but they too expensive for me.

Peter Pan Simply Ground Honey Roast Peanut Butter comes in a short jar I eat with crackers. I have Jiff Natural Creamy for sandwiches with fresh fruit or good preserves. No grape jelly in my house.

Hmm, Peanut butter I like and usually have a Peanut butter and jelly with cheese sandwich for a snack at night but, my real passion is Tuna fish and jelly sandwiches, gotta be Grape jelly though, any other kind would be just gross.
Oh! yeah, No crunchy peanut butter and I ONLY buy Skippy because the others have Molasses in them and I just can't stand the taste. Maybe cause my mom use to make me take black strap molasses as a cold remedy of some sort and I HATED the taste.

I’ve been known to sometimes do the same thing but substitute my pointer finger for the spoon. we're cut from the same cloth, buddy. I do the same with Nutella... More so, actually. Sorry not a Nutella fan. When I was in Afghanistan someone sent me a can of the stuff. Anyway, I gave it to one of my interpreters as a gift. Long story short: they never asked for it again either. Guess my taste isn’t as sophisticated.

I agree, when Nutella was all the rage, I bought one jar not impressed.
Everyone has different tastes.

I'm crunchy, my wife is smooth. She likes it because she can spread it thinly on the bread. Who wants a thin layer of peanut butter, fer cryin' out loud? Fortunately crunchy doesn't spread thin worth a darn...lol.

I'm a lifelong fan of peanut butter. Used to like crunchy, then "natural" peanut butter - but it was too much trouble stirring the oil back into it all the time. Now it's smooth. Just finished a jar of Blackberry preserves - all of it used on peanut butter sandwiches.
The big tradition in my family this time of the year is making peanut butter fudge. Growing up, it was a big deal every Christmas season when my dad made peanut butter fudge. Several years before he died, I had him come over to my house and teach me how to make it. He didn't have a written recipe. He just showed me - you take about this much peanut butter and about that much marshmallow cream ..... I turned it into a written recipe and started making it every year for the family - carrying on the tradition. I'm going to have to teach my children one of these days.

PB, sliced bananas, and grape jelly on white bread. When I was cycling (which I hope to get back to next spring), my breakfast immediately before riding 15 or 20 miles was peanut butter and banana slices on toast.

Used to freeze whole peeled bananas, then snack with crunchy peanut butter spread on it. Wife caught me dunking banana in jar and ripped my behind, after that I spooned some in a cup.!

Saw this back in the day on Dragnet of all places. Officer Gannon has a card night at his house and invites Sgt. Friday over. One of the sandwiches Gannon makes for the card game is peanut butter, cream cheese, and fresh garlic on pumpernickel bread. I of course had to try it... and loved it.

We live in the mountains where we occasionally get mice coming in from the cold (like British spies). A touch of peanut butter on the mousetrap brings them in every time.

I'm thinking trying it with garlic Aioli. If I can find pumpernickel bread around here.

Ever tried peanut butter and onion sandwiches? Sounds strange but it's not bad. It was one of Ernest Hemingways favorites.
