I have read a review about this being similar to McClelland Dark English and one other person verified this. I will order some next month and try it. That was my favorite blend.

It certainly has some good reports at TR (none newer than 2015). Where are you finding it?

If the review is the one at TR.com that blend has been compared to Dark English only once. That's it.
There's a reason for that.
I have quite a bit of McClelland's Dark English cellared for the mere reason that I liked it and it was unique.
Mind you, I don't consider it the "best" latakia blend or even "my favorite" latakia blend.
But, definitely, it was good enough AND unique enough to make me want to stock up.
In short: Majestic English is not very reminiscent of Dark English to my palate.

It is good, but not as strong, not as full. Those McClelland VA's can really make a difference. There is just nothing else like them. |
