Been houseboy for 4 days wife’s back is out and is bedridden. Rain is expected, grass needs cutting, fixed her coffe,toast, and put my overalls on, with a 5 Vegas, 7.5 inch gold in bib pocket, went in barn, and the electric fence is beeping. Oh crap Buddy can get out. Put Buddy in house, took his fence collar off, went to fence line, no buzzing. Reset didn’t work, cut the grass pondering, then it hit me, wife a week and a half planted 2 small trees by the line. Started to light up for the cur, hadn’t cut the cigar, bit it off, lighted the cigar and cut. After the cut I went to closet tree pulled it up and yes she cut the line. Went in barn, found a piece of jumper wire and spliced it, going back to barn I crossed my fingers, no beeping when I got in barn. Fixed it. Put collar back on Buddy and came inside beat to a frazzle, it’s hell getting old.  |

Man...old cajun you've already had a full day....better take it easy, us old ones can't take the heat all that easy...me, I run (crawl) from A/C to A/C...can't deal with any kinda heat...meds make me sicker than a sick pup when out in the heat.

My mom used say, "cheer up, things cold be worse!" So I cheered up and sure enough, things got worse! I know, it's a poor joke, but you're right, getting old has its advantages sometimes, but mostly it just sucks. Hope your wife gets to feeling better, and a large pipe full of something you love will help you feel better.

Seems I neglected to wish your wife well...sorry bout that, but you know we all care about each other and their family's.
Take it easy out in that heat...we aren't young anymore.

Brad, take it slow, hope your wife starts feeling real better super fast. Tell her not to lift once she’s feeling better.
It’s far worse to recover from any pain or illness once we get older, be well👌👍👍
