My wife watches the ‘Real Housewives’ shows. They’re beyond awful and irksome. If my wife is watching these shows, I’ll go into another room. I’m not going to express what I truly think of these women. Let’s just say they’re not my cup of tea. I would rather have root canal surgery than watch that crap! It's depravity in its purist form. My wife watches that crud too.

The worst thing my wife watches is Station 19. Badly written nighttime soap. She used to watch Scorpion, so it's a step up. I tune it out and read. .

Too many to begin to try and pick the worst.
Dr.Phil is an arrogant P.O.S. for starters

Dr Phil do you still beat your wife? The Voice ruining my favorite songs one at a time and the winner always ends up singing at the mall.

This is the one show I watch out of all the above. It's annoyingly slow and the voice over guy is over the top. But it's interesting to me. I doubt they'll ever find buried treasure, but the artifact finds and hypotheses are thought provoking at times. But I make liberal use of the FF button.
And the "drilling" is nothing like punching holes for oil or gas. It's sinking 48-60" shafts, trying to target specific areas without damaging what may be under there. And analyzing the tons of mud and crap that they excavate. Laborious, slow, maddening, but I will stay for a few more seasons (if any).

I dislike all those Network shows such as 48 Hrs., etc They all deal with violence/murder toward women in a manner that is in its own way, pornographic.

History Channel hit a new low last night with The Butcher! What a riveting reality show! You get to watch 4 butchers break down a whole hog into smaller cuts with the slowest performer getting chopped after the first round. The second round was mesmerizing as the three remaining butchers had to produce five perfect 6-oz. filets without the benefit of a scale. The final two faced the challenge of breaking down skinned alligators into sellable portions. Part of the final judging is watching one judge cook gator steaks on a grill and then eat them to see if they are properly cooked and are tender. (By the way, most gator meat is best when cooked low and slow so the meat has a chance to get tender.)
I hear the History Channel has a new, exciting show in the works for next season. The Wall Painter will give viewers the opportunity to watch professionals paint a wall and be judged on how the finished wall looks as it transitions from wet paint to dry-to-touch.

It's TV. It's all bulls***. Since both shows were mentioned it reminds of a Rob Reiner story that goes something like this. While he was making All in the Family a fan rushed up to him at the airport or wherever gushing " your show is the greatest ever and you are so wonderful" etc... Mr Reiner puffed up with pride for being part of such a ground breaking and revolutionary show that was bringing high art to tv. The lady continued " the show has changed my life and I never miss an episode, it is my very favorite...that and The Beverly Hillbillies!"
