We've all seen reality TV but this show truly begs any sense of reality. I've watched 3 episodes and I really need to get a life ! I'm talking about Dog, the Bounty Hunter! From the dialogue to the clothing they wear it begs any resemblance to "reality" ! I have a friend I went to hi-school who's family has run a bail bond / bounty hunter business and he doesn't wear any of those "outfits" though he does pack heat and has used it. It' the dumbest show on TV! JMHO

None of the reality shows deal in reality.
Even Pawn Stars is pretty silly... a pawn shop that brings in experts so that the customer doesn’t get short changed?
Yeah, right.
And storage wars was pretty lame to anyone that has done that.

Dog is fun if you approach it as a comedy. Getting the network and sponsors to buy those new GMC's and all that gear, was pretty slick. My fav episode was when a little old lady approached Duane and Beth thinking they were professional wrestlers and asked when they would be performing.

Survivor CBS their hair is almost always clean looking and they never have third degree sunburns. I have been on three day fishing trips and turned into a grody mess with cuts and bug bites and red glow you can see in the dark.

The shows mentioned above are pretty darn lame, it’s all about ratings which point out the intelligence of there viewers. One night recently my ex was watching one of her favorite TV shows “ The Bachelor' “, after five minutes of hearing the content, on went my headphones 🎧 , I listened to my music playlist. I was never much of a TV watcher, I wonder why!! Now that I’m retired I’ve been watching some of the old “ Cop “ shows, NYPD Blue being my favorite. Most of the shows I watch now are on the History or Discovery channels. Once the 2019 Stanley Cup finals are over I’ll be lost on regular TV channels for a while, until next seasons start of college football. PS trailboss .........I’m broke, have no money to pay for monthly storage fee’s but expensive paintings and rare coins are left behind........yaaaaaaaaa right.

All the reality shows are pretty much scripted. I used to love American Pickers until I realized it was all set-up before hand and the guys knew what they were going to find and how much they were going to pay.
As for Lack of History Channel, most of the shows on it these days are definitely not real history. The Curse of Oak Island? How long is it going to take those bozos to dig a whole in the ground? The technology exists to drill oil wells miles under the surface of the water but these guys can drill a shaft 200 feet below the surface of an island?
Forged in Fire is entertaining though, and at least the challenges they give the competitors have been tested by one of the judges. Though the latest "Battle of the Branches" pissed me off because they forgot to include a branch of the military in the competition.

Naked and Afraid. Oh sure drop me in the Atchafalaya swamp, or the west Texas desert, or Africa with no food, clothes, or weapons with a stranger who is also crazy enough to do it.

Only thing we hate is that they give them cars to strip metal from instead of giving them bar stock so we can see what they can really do.

It's like FiF is looking at a post-apopcalyptic world where the only source material for blacksmithing would be in junkyards. I'm waiting for the episode where they are given raw material and have to smelt their own steel.

They gave the Army 1075 and the work was impressive on the M42 Sykes Fairbairn.

It's TV. It's all bulls***. There's very little on TV these days that is redeemable in any sense. Even the news is made for ratings. I watch very little anymore. Better to just read a book or go to a stage play. Both still thrill me. I might be a throw back.

It's TV. It's all bulls***. I watch the news most of the time and that's it. But it falls in the same category.

One thing most folks don't know about Television/Cinema writers... they belong to "The Writers Guild" as opposed to "The Dramatists Guild." Both used to be the same organization, but split when Hollywood insisted on owning the work of the writers, and is now more like a union. The Dramatists Guild members chose to retain total ownership and control of their work.

Rarely, TV rises to the art level, but it's rare. Mrs. Maisel is an excellent example. I miss live theater, but there doesn't seem to be a community theater in our area. We had a great one in our old neighborhood. The taxes took the fun out of it.

It's TV. It's all bulls***. Yes, it is. But, if you know this and understand that modern television is like the old Roman Circuses (Gladiator killing innocent people, animals and each other), and is made to appease the masses, then you can still find a few entertaining shows on the air. Just don't take them seriously. Frankly, I found tv more entertaining before writers started injecting politics and political correctness into the shows. But that is just my opinion. It's also why I don't watch national news or late night comedians.

Watched remake of Archie Bunker last night, Actors were stellar in there portrayal, but it wasn’t ground breaking, PC has killed Comedy, taped it and towards the end when the Blackish star started his political racist take, I hit the OFF button. Thank You Mr Lear, 96 yrs old you have given is wonderful shows. I leave on that note.

Been watching Beverly Hillbillies. Pretty silly for sure, but I’m laughing out loud through every episode. Irene Ryan as Granny is genius.

My wife watches the ‘Real Housewives’ shows. They’re beyond awful and irksome. If my wife is watching these shows, I’ll go into another room. I’m not going to express what I truly think of these women. Let’s just say they’re not my cup of tea. I would rather have root canal surgery than watch that crap!
