It looks nice. It's a bit hard to see in that picture. Do you have a close-up?

I guess some how I missed your first posts...welcome to the Patch from central north Florida.
If you are using Imgur...hit the large thumbnail on the bottom and the direct link button and paste that into the image window. That is instruction from a moron who has no clue re: computer stuff...but it works for me.

I will take more pictures now that I have figured out how to post them. The wood canister on the right is something my Mom gave me years ago. She said if you decide to start smoking a pipe you can put the tobacco inside it. Never thought I would start, but fast forward to today. I will have to use it. It does not seal at all so I'm thinking of using a gasket to make it seal right. Any thoughts are appreciated

Any thoughts are appreciated Try a clear silicone to create a rubber seal around the inside circumstance of the wood lid. Let dry thoroughly before pressing back onto the base. Your basically making a big β O β ring. I have used rubber bands in the past but they dry and snap in a short period of time. A few years down the road itβs easy enough to remove the silicone if/when the day comes it needs replacement. Good luck.

Nice setup ya got there.
Don't be too hard on yourself...
Most of us started with one or two pipes.
You'll soon discover that TAD & PAD will seek you out and then you'll be done for. ;-)

I would relegate the old tobacco canister for ornamental purposes, buy a case of half pint mason jars to store tobacco in...Walmart has about the cheapest price.
Welcome to the forum!

Welcome aboard! And like Dino said, soon you'll be wondering where to store all your tobacco and pipes.

I'll second the recommendation of using the jars...you can put the jar(s) in the canister that your Mom gave you...much better bet than letting it dry out...but the silicon that Ted mentioned would possibly work if you got the fit tight enough.
