Grey Poupon?
I had just settled down for a smoke in my most collectible meer. The wife got a call from our daughter and wanted to know if We would take her to urgent care.
I grabbed my pipe and accessories and waited in the car while my wife accompanied my daughter to the examination room. It seems she has shingles in her eye, so off to Walgreens for the scripts.
The sunroof is open, all the windows are down as they go inside to get the scripts... a couple walks up and they are staring at me like no tomorrow... I quickly realized that I look ostentatious as all hell sitting in the back seat.
I said in my best British accent “Pardon me old chap, bit do you have any Grey Poupon?”
“ No Grey Poupon here... Cherrio!” said the guy with the midwestern accent.

What perfect timing for a thread...
Today I played golf with my neighbor and a couple of other members. When we got to the halfway house I got a "Members Special" which is a hotdog and a drink (Arnold Palmer).
As always, I put Grey Poupon on it. The stuff comes in the same little plastic pouches as the other mustard and ketchup.
It's the only way to enjoy a hotdog! ;-)

I agree...a hotdog just isn't without mustard...and the best mustard one can muster up.
I think that on the scale of sinfulness, a dog without mustard tips the cardinal scale of sinfulness.

Superb, Charlie.
Although, I've never heard of singles in the eye. That must be painful. I hope she gets better soon.

Thanks for the well wishes, the doctor is pretty certain that it will clear up quickly with the meds...the recurring problem is what I wonder about.
My son gets shingles from time to time, he says it is pretty painful.

My son gets shingles from time to time, he says it is pretty painful. A friend of mine suffers from shingles at times, he finds extreme stress can exacerbate his flairs. I wish both your kids all the best and never go through shingles again in their lifetime.

Thanks Ted, my daughter has anxiety issues so that may not bode well for her... I will pass it on though.

I had one mild shingles outbreak after another for years. About 7 years ago my doctor put me on a huge daily dose of Valacyclovir and I have been shingles free since.

I've also heard that stress is what brings it on. If your daughter has anxiety issues then it makes sense.
In that case, I hope she can get that under some control.

That valley fever seems to be a mostly southern Arizona problem. When we return we'll be sure not to travel south of Sedona.

That Valley Fever is a bitch. I had a cough for two years with that crap. It had quite a dramatic effect n my wife, her weakened state when she was infected, triggered a lot of other issues... it really aged her... the before and after pics, she doesn’t look like the same person.

Yow. I'm sorry to hear that. I hope she can get it under control; chronic diseases suck.
