I had three of Vauen's Auenlands. They fell into disuse and after a few years of not being smoked they went into the trash. Interesting collectors pieces but just too cumbersome for regular use.

I also have a Vauen's Auenland. I've never taken it out of the box. I have a Savinelli Churchwarden that doesn't get much use either. Those pipes look nice, not sure I would ever use it though.

Not bad Michael, churchwardens are a odd thing they need a special time an place for me to smoke them.

Those are attractive pipes, though don't think they would be easy to smoke. Are they briar, or some other wood? I have one pipe with two stems, one being a churchwarden. Hardly ever use it.

I gave my churchwarden away, just too much trouble to clean. Besides, Gandalf only smoked a churchwarden in the movies. In the books, he had a short clay pipe in his smoke ring battle with Thorin.

The only pipe I consider a true Churchwarden are those made of clay of which I have two which I've had and smoked for over 40+ years now.
