Quite a long video (45 minutes or so), but if you are so inclined, it is readily apparent that after decades of Class A motor-homes roaming the roads, this guy has figured it all out....the only limitations are your wallet....pretty cool if you can afford it.

I really like the interior. Makes my old Jayco look pretty plebeian.

Charlie, thanks for posting this video, yes I watched entirely. Back in the 70’s we had a “ Cruise-air, Georgie Boy “ 30’ motorhome. It belonged to the “ entire family “ in which we all chipped in and purchased together. Scheduling use was the difficult part. Also back then you had to be fairly handy with tools, seemed to have quite a bit of issues, some type of constant repairs. Pump replacements often, a/c & d/c electrical problems from wiring to switches. Making sure the unit was level so propane flowed properly in cold weather was a pain in the arse back then!!
They sure have come a long way since those days. Always wanted to purchase another motorhome once I retired, boy did that not work out well. If I ever won a decent amount playing lotto I would not hesitate to purchase one similar to the model in this video. I could definitely live comfortably year round with plenty of room and style. The aqua-heat System might be expensive but would definitely be a must have feature for year round living. All high end materials and equipment in this motorhome, especially the oversized generator. Plus, how can you go wrong with a Freightliner at the head of this unit👍👍👍

Bought a 40 ft Foretravel before I retired, belonged to a Dr and was at an Estate sale, had everything, learned from my friend who was an RVer the basics, went to places. When the thieves stole my retirement we lived in it for 2 yrs on my farm. Went to Arbitration Court, won 75% of my money back, bought my 100 yr old house, cut it in half and moved it on my farm. Sold the motor home to a friend of my son. I don’t regret the time we had in it, loved the Caterpillar engine and Jake brake. You have to be active to RV, hooking and unhooking, trailering requires a sharp mind, I’m an old fart and really couldn’t do i

I had dreams of getting a RV, but by the time came I was too old to deal with the hook ups and other labor. Plus, my driving isn't what it used to be. We're looking at a lot on Lake Livingston to put a used trailer on for a get away.

When you think of the base cost for a spec’d out chasis from Freightliner, off to the coach manufacturer with all of the upgrades, and then the guy in the coach finishing it off, this is a venture if you have to ask how much?, you cannot afford it. The maintenance schedule is expensive, everytime you fuel up you blow through $500.
The emissions systems on any of the late model tractors can be a nightmare, Last I heard, there are 36 sensors on my Mack, one goes out of harmony, and the check engine lights are on.
Definitely a Lottery fund needed in my case.

Nope, no way, not a chance...too old to deal with all the issues...as much fun as it would be...it is for younger folks...I'll take a motel/hotel room and be happy with that. Earth Roamer would be the ideal cross country equipment...but I can't imagine what the cost could be.

Looking at the features on the above model...more like a really nice house...on wheels...better have a bank attached in the rear...cause that baby is gonna be expensive.

If I win the lotto I want the mud room, but definitely not white. My doctor friend from Long Island, his brother is a BILLIONAIRE at least three times over. He purchased a “ bus “ style Superior Coach and spent almost a million on his unit. I’ll take the Freightliner thank you for roughly $500,000 with a custom paint job👍👍👍. I can dream, right.
My friend recently called to ask me....” what do you buy a billionaire brother for his 60th birthday “. I told him about a particular portable satellite radio with a two year subscription included. He listened to my suggestion, his brother was thrilled, uses it often. My point, billionaires don’t know everything. In all honesty he’s not stuck up, he has some outrageous parties I’ve been to in the past. Also donates a small fortune every year to Disabled American Veterans.

My brother bought a new Bluebird coach when he was about 45. He took it to Pennsylvania and Ohio, then to Alaska. After driving the Alaska highway it had to go back to the factory to be completely rebuilt. After that he parked it under a tree and left it for the next 29 years until he died. I never even got to see inside.

Interesting video Charlie. If I was into the RV life, that would be a worthy coach! That particular model is in stock and available for sale: linkPricing? Retail Price: $535,931.82 IWS Discount: $103,046.28 Sale Price $432,885.54 But it appears you can get if for cheaper as the Sale Price is crossed out and it says to call for pricing. And like you say, that rig isn't cheap to operate and maintain. But, you could sure live in it. All in all, I'd rather have a small cabin in the mountains. Or, one could stay for 3.33 years at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs 24/7 (at the single night price). Still, that is one nice RV.

Years ago, the 50’, 60’s, 70’s and most of the 80’s motorhomes were built with wood framing on a steel chassis, very similar to your home. Back then I’m surprised your brother made it back from Alaska, motorhomes we’re not built to withstand rough roadways. Many years ago I helped a neighbor break down his old unit for proper disposal. Between the walls I was amazed by the termite damage. In many areas between walls the wood was turned into sawdust.

Cool Rv's but I think I will just stick with the one I have. I can work on it when something breaks and I have all the back up parts on board already. Its 40 years old and I have done a few mods to it since I acquired it about 10 years ago. I have taken a couple long trips with it and many short ones,if I was in a new rig and had issues I wouldn't be able to fix it,but they sure look nice.

When I lived in California, (mid 90’s) the wife and I thought about renting a class 3 for a Colorado vacation. By the time we added up the costs it was $5,000.00 to go that route. I told the sales guy that I wasn’t looking to buy the coach.
We gassed up the Aerostar and stayed in nice hotels along the way as we stopped at nice attractions.
I deliver components to cruise America where they rent RV’s and build them for people... man they look like cheap junk. My brother posted a youtube video where disgruntled customers spoke of really shady practices of the camping world staff.

It is hard for me to imagine there are so many people willing and able to pay a half million dollars for a motor home. I see them on our two lane highway. I listen to one of them , a former neighbor, bitch about the taxes he pays as he climbs into his. Here abouts, people are so poor they cannot replace the cracked windshields on their ancient trucks.
Anyway, enjoy the ride....

Wow. I watched the video and that is quite a motorhome, Charlie. My grandparents had a King's Highway that they lived in and drove all over the US in the late 70's. I though it was luxurious, but this Renegade makes it look like a pickup with a camper shell.

I plan on getting both...the 40,000 hitch on renegade with 650? horses can easily handle it...I am going to commission a trailer manufacturer to make an enclosed trailer for my earth Roamer and the ammo. Before I take delivery on the earth Roamer though I am going to have Dillon Precision in Scottsdale install the turret...unlike this setup, it will have a brass repository.
