Boxing is enjoying a nice come back these days. So many great fighters out there. The mid weights are stacked with talent.

I looked this up and I found that Ruiz is 29, has a 31-1 record, and is the son of immigrant crop pickers from Imperial Valley. His first remarks after winning were "momma, you don't have to worry any more, I can take care of you."
I tried to fight a fat guy in high school. I hit him as hard as I could in the stomach and side. He just grinned. I learned my lesson.

I watched the highlights. Despite the fat, Ruiz must have been fit enough. It takes a lot out of you to box for that long.
