That’s something I rarely see here in NC. Last time I spotted another pipe smoker just so happened I too was puffing away. I nodded my head and he just looked away. Kind of odd for a pipe smoker.

It seldom happens here too, but when it does it kinda makes me feel good... That there are others out there.
That said, many I've met don't consider the pipe a discussion point... It's just part of their life rather than a hobby or interest; but that's going over old ground.

Same here, to the point I am done with approaching people at the counter at the B&M we meet at....Occasionally, I get a "thanks for letting me know about your club", more often than not, they give me weird looks....I digress.  |

I’m in the navy. When my ship is underway, we try to organize a “cigar social” just about every Sunday evening outside on the fantail. One of the guys brings his DJ equipment out for us. It’s pretty nice. I was surprised to see that there are several pipe smokers on my ship. And many others are very interested in it. A few have gone out and bought pipes to join our tiny circle each week.
