Arizona Pipe club meeting next Saturday.

Pipe night is Wednesday June 19th, starting at 5PM.

The Father of the flame is released a day before that meeting from Amazon, so we are tentatively scheduling the screening for pipe night in July.



Those of you that came out yesterday, thanks for coming...those that could not make it, we understand duties to the work and home come first, but you were missed.

We had a pretty good group, right around 20 or so, and it was a great time.



Just a few things...



Paul Buza told me that Max Stokkebye came by on a visit recently, and they are looking to put together a pipe night tobacco blending session for the month of November. He said that it would probably be a $15-$20 cost per person for all the blending components and Max would give us advice on how to go about the task. There will be a Peter Stokkebye trunk show and most likely door prizes given out/ free raffle. All Tentative now...stay tuned for future updates. For those of you that attend Thursday pipe meetings at Ye Olde Pipe Shoppe, Paul said that they both agreed that the store up there would benefit also.

We really appreciate the camaraderie of our Ye Olde brothers that make the trek to our pipe club meetings, it is always a bonus to have you guys with us.



Paul admitted that the tobacco selections have been pretty thin, a big part of the reason is the capital outlay in getting his in house cigars up and running. I am pleased to say that he had some restocked Comoy's blends and Orlik along with Escudo...his prices are pretty reasonably priced for a B&M. Brandon assured me that they will be getting more in as he will be accompanying Paul to the ICPCR show this month as they contact the distributors. For those of you new to the club, we took a survey of the members on what blends they would like, and Esoterica, Rattray's, Sam Gawith, Gawith and Hoggarth, were mentioned with many others.

As we see them come in and if you can afford it, buy a tin here and there from Big Sticks...it is the cheapest rent we can come by to have a meeting place with the accommodations, and if and when online sales are outlawed, we will be in a great place to avail ourselves of the tobaccos that evaporate as soon as possible on internet sales.



And, although it seems a long ways off, the West Coast Pipe Show will be here before you know it. It is not too early to book a room...want a smoking room you got it, but if you wait, you won't get one. If you book soon, you can lock in the block rates...no down side to doing so, you can cancel 24 hours in advance with no charge. This is a great venue, and a great time...Brian Levine says that the West Coast Pipe Show in Vegas is more enjoyable than the Chicago show...that is saying something!

It would be good if we can network who is up to ridesharing if they choose not to fly...we can join people up if there is interest,.. and maybe we can pull off a dinner nite on Friday or Saturday.
