Relaxing after a wonderful barbecue pork chops and baked potato dinner, and am about half way through this bowl of Dunbar In a smooth straight Lane era Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad.

Last smoke of the day is SWRA in a 1979 straight smooth Dr. Grabow Grand Duke 45 pot with a black stem. Molly's been very sedate this evening, but Suzy's been full of energy, which of course, means, she's wanted constant attention, which she's gotten.

getting an early start this morning with GL Pease Sixpence (thank you, Baboo!) in my MM Legend straight amber stem. It isn't at all what I expected, very subtle and mellow, not overwhelming, though I don't think hubby will like the room note (thank goodness for smoker's candles!) It was a different kind of tobacco than I've ever used. I broke it up, I assume that was what I was supposed to do. So now I'm leisurely puffing while watching Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes. Yes, while hubby is at work I spend the day with another man, lol. Sometimes two if I watch Poirot

Almost finished smoking Stokkebye Natural Dutch Cavendish in a 1970s medium bend smooth Ben Wade Golden Walnut freehand with a black vulcanite stem. The city sanitation truck finally came to pick up the pile of leaves in our front yard, and were very loud about it. Gonna try sleep again in a few minutes.

I overfilled my first pipe, had to stop half-way through, but I was completely enjoying the Sixpence. Switched now to C&D Epiphany (thanks 10furlongs!) in my MM Legend bent amber stem. Only filled half the bowl this time, have quite a few I want to try today. I must explain that our car is broke down right now and hubby borrows my mother's car 3-4 times a week to go to work, 1-2 days he gets a ride with a co-worker. If I am home when hubby has my mother's car then she is stuck at home (which is next door to me *sigh*) and she will be over here underfoot most of the day. SO, to preserve my sanity I go to hubby's office with him and sit in a corner and crochet all day. Hubby doesn't like me to smoke when he is in the room with me, so unless he is outside in his woodshop I don't get an opportunity to smoke in the evening. Yesterday and Today hubby got a ride with a co-worker, so this is the first opportunity in a couple weeks I've had to be home alone, so I'm seizing the day and chain-smoking, lol.

Couldn't sleep, so I'm smoking C&D Bright Virginia Ribbon in an early smooth Radice Tiger Eye G medium bend billiard/rhodesian pipe with a bamboo-style carving on the shank and a black acrylic stem. A cup of Maxwell House, neat, is my drink. Going to do a little cleaning in the kitchen for m'lady while she snoozes with Suzy and Molly.

I'm going for broke today. Took a break to have a cream cheese and strawberry toaster pastry and now I'm trying C&D Quiet Nights (thank you, 10fulongs!) and that was a different experience. Not sure if I packed the pipe correctly, having to relight quite a bit, but overall it's very pleasant and am enjoying it. Smoking my MM nekid apple Diplomat with black bent danish stem.
