Hello guys. I need some help. I started my pipe collection recently. I would like to collect pipes from different countries. Can you suggest me a pipe maker outside of the USA that you had a good experience with a purchase? My first goal is to collect at least 12 from different countries. I have link a video below with the countries that I have collected so far. Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions. FCP

Cool so you're just going to spam links to your video anywhere that allows signups, huh?
You'll note Reddit's /r/pipetobacco already deleted your post, because content-free Youtube spam isn't appreciated there.
I doubt it's appreciated here, either.

When 90% of a users post content is about their YouTube channel, its not contributing, its spam.

Since my first picture of a pipe and a gun. You have never had anything positive to say about my post or pictures etc. You went as far as cursing me out just because I posted a picture of a old style six shooter with my Gentleman’s corn cob. I am new in this forum and if posting a video in order to engage in conversation is breaking the rules then I will just remove the videos and just chat. So far I have gotten in some good discussion by combining the post with a video. But again, I will follow the rules. BTW the comment about 90% of my post being YouTube videos is incorrect as I have only posted 3-4 videos and the rest I have engaged in conversations on multiple threads over several months.

You have very few posts NOT mentioning your YouTube channel.

May I suggest you just chat and forget about posting videos...get to know the folks then if appropriate you can post whatever you like as long as it isn't advertising...just a suggestion, do what you like, no one is against you, but learn the rules and ways before you get all righteous.

Hard to say this better. Believe me I’ve been on many forums (mostly cigars), and by far this has been on of the most accepting, generous and thoughtful groups I’ve ever had the sincere pleasure of meeting. No one is looking to give you a hard time

No one is looking to give you a hard time I will humbly accept your suggestions and not post any more videos since my intentions were only to interact with the different pipe communities the best way I knew posible. I do not sell or make money of YouTube. Everything I do is for fun and to make new friends in the Pipe community. As I mentioned in my introduction video, I have not found a single person who is a pipe smoker in the 9 years I have lived in my small town here in Northern Alabama. I will post a picture of my last international pipe purchase shortly as I’m still interested in the answer to the question I posted. That is still the main reason for my post.

Real nice welcome wagon for a new member guys. flatcappiper thank you for the videos and your perspective views on this hobby. I look forward to seeing more content from you. Thanks I appreciate that. I didn’t know posting the video was going to cause all this trouble. The last video I posted was a 3 minute recording of the recent Chicago Pipe show and I did not have a single complaint or mention of not following the rules. But to avoid any problems I have since started another thread on the question I wanted answered and I have gotten some good comments and suggestions for collecting pipes around the world. Thanks again. Have a great weekend!

Post better, get happier results!
The BP is a friendly community. Posting garbage happens to the best of us. I think you can do better, and, in fact, you already have. Your text version of this same original post is a nice start to a conversation, instead of video spam, and I think it will do well.

You’re an easy road trip from The Country Squire in Jackson, MI. Plus, lots of pipe stuff in Nashville. Have you been to either place yet? Do I recall correctly that there’s a decent pipe shop in Huntsville?

[/quote][ It is not necessary to “light up” anybody. You can have a civilized conversation without need to curse or create a big commotion. Your offensive comment on Reddit were immediately removed by the moderator and he made a special post admonishing posted who felt the need to curse and “light up” posters. Your comments on my recent post were very helpful and appropriate. Maybe you should do more of that instead of boasting about “lighting up” people or calling their post “garbage”.

Tempest in a teapot.
If the mods think that corrective action needs to take place, the appropriate thing to do is let them do their job, and a critical spirit from non mods is unwarranted.

Yikes. I missed this one. Been a busy day. flatcappiper, you've done nothing wrong. Your video of the pipe show was great, and I'm sure I'll watch this one too. However, that being said, I'm pretty sure you already started a thread exactly the same as this, did you not? I think if you were to have added the video to that thread and not duplicated a thread giving the impression had you were duplicating the thread to display your video, I think there may not have been the same response. That said, keep posting as you are, but keep in mind that anyone who wants to see your videos has quite possibly already subscribed to your channel.

Smellshisbutt never seems to have a kind word. Me thinks that he plays 'I'm the judge' at home with his plastic gavel while sucking on lemons. If I find the block function he's #1.

Here in Oz, apart from two friends who I recently introduced to a pipe (Both were struggling with relapse after giving up cigarettes) I have not even seen another pipe smoker in decades. Groups like BP bring us together. From one newbie to another, welcome.

I actually posted the thread with the video first. Then, after seeing all the comments, I told everyone that I would make another post without the video so that they could answer the question and we could have a conversation about pipemakers from different parts of the world. The response to my second post without the video was much better and I was able to get some good suggestions. So, I think that in the future I will just post the questions and if there is a relevant video I will just mention that they can check it on the YouTube channel. I think this is a great forum and I want to continue enjoying the positive and informative conversation and avoid anything that creates negative ones or controversy. Thanks again. FCP

Back to the subject at hand Flatcappiper; collecting a pipe from as many different countries is a great idea. Personally I'd be looking for a different shape from each for fear that my PAD would spiral out of control were I to look for every shape from each country, lol.
Most of my pipes were bought from e-bay auctions, all of which were bargains. As it turned out, I've more pipes from Italy than from anywhere else. All of them are good to excellent smokers. Still, I've got at least one pipe from Denmark,France,England,Germany & several from the U.S. (A pipe collection is incomplete without at least one MM cob - I've got 3 & a couple of Dr Grabow pipes)

And, do you like them? I think the idea of trying to get different shapes at the same time that I get different countries is a great one. In fact, I look at that and try to avoid the exact same shape that I already own if I can help it. I also have some MM corn cobs, I think they smoke great. Thanks for your suggestions. Have a great week!
