Greetings fellow pipe club smokers!
Our next Pipe night is this coming Wednesday night at 5PM, hope to see you there. I hope to make it, but due to the nature of my work, I never know ahead of time.
July's meeting will take place on Saturday, July 11th.
One of our members has been buying whole leaf tobacco online, and he received a letter of notification via his supplier that it is forbidden by state law, see the attachment.
That PDf specifically mentions whole leaf tobacco, and they included pipe in the document, but the last line of the webpage says that Pipes and cigars are exempt....

I guess the whole leaf ban is because theoretically, that leaf could be used for cigarettes.
In other states, online bans seemed to have taken effect quickly, Utah and Washington come to mind. Hopefully that doesn't happen here anytime soon, but if you hear any rumblings about it being proposed in our legislature, please let me know.
If you had not noticed, Paul has recently stocked some great blends, namely Orlik and Comoy's.
Brandon told me that he is going to accompany Paul to the ICPCR trade show June 28 - July 2 in Vegas, and "We will be coming back with tobacco's" was what Brandon said. He is going to remind Paul of the blends we asked for in our own group survey, and Brandon is going to take the lead in searching out the distributors.
