Our first grandchild arrived last night! On the 110th anniversary of his great, great grandfather's birth. Counterbalance for a week where an old high school buddy passed away and my older brother had emergency brain aneurysm surgery.

Congrats on the new addition to the family. Being a grandfather is a day that I hope I dont have for several more decades. Enjoy Thanks, now I’m thinking at age 68 in December I will be a Great-Grandfather........just shoot me in the head. Why is it I see two members saying “ okay, I’ll pull the trigger “.....lol. |

Congratulations, grandchildren are the best. Sorry though to hear of the loss of your friend and your brother's trouble. Life has a way of balancing out; I hope the joy outweighs the sorrow.

Congrats on the grandson! My mother says that if she knew grandchildren would be this much fun, she would’ve had them first And grandkids are God’s reward for not killing your own kids.... Sorry to hear about your friend Don, but in your brother’s case, it sounds providential that he was able to have the emergency surgery to deal with it... that is what killed Bruce Lee... tell him that he is tougher than Bruce! |

Thanks, gents. We are very blessed. Greatful they figured out my brother's problems and have hopefully resolved them. Grandson was born the same day as my grandfather on my mom's side. He lived to be 101.

He lived to be 101. And I hope the little one has the same or better longevity. My great grandfather, Although he was a selfish asshole, died at 106. |

Thanks guys. My wife is mulling over how she wants to be referred to. She is not happy with granny. I may end up calling her that. If you hear of my demise in the near future, you will know who killed me. I don't care what the grandkids call me, as long as it is out of fondness for the old man.

don..........ask your wife how’s being called Nana and your Grandpa. I’m fine with Grandpa 👍. Would you rather be called pop-pop, which is fairly common.
