I can ship to his hotel if there is anything you would like Paddy, gladly ship 750 grams to him. I have jarred pouch blends, but tinned stuff (at least to me) is better. Let's start a 'Donate A Tin To Paddy Appeal' where U.S. members can donate a spare tin of their favourite blend, ensuring that he doesn't get two of the same. 750g would be 15 tins .... yes? Post them to a member who could parcel them together & send to Paddys friends hotel. Then he wont be able to be so polite and refuse such a thoughtful gesture. lol What ye say Charlie? I agree with your math, but in my travels when I was working I know a few smokers that lost some of their personal “ stash “ whether it be cigars or pipe tobacco. Depends on the customs agent your dealing with when traveling through. I had an aunt & uncle ( my Dads sister ) that were both custom agents for 30 plus years working at JFK International Airport. Never knew them well due to the fact my Dad had little contact with his sister, but I heard through other family members those two always played hardball with visitors coming into the USA. If you traveled with a diplomatic passport you were untouchable. |

Thanks for the offers guys...However, if I was in USA and someone I didn't know sent me a package to bring over to UK, I would refuse point-blank. I am not putting my friends through that.
A pouch of Captain Black Grape would be sufficient.

If anything you might end up with some Captain Black Grape. How is that a bad thing? Wasn't saying it was a bad thing just going along with the running joke about it. One of the guys at my pipe club said I should try it and that it's not bad. I won't go out of my way to find it but will pick a pouch up if I run across it. |

Just realized what my retired arse is going to do with the rest of my life. Going to buy a yathct capable of crossing the pond. It'l be like that film "Blow" but with pipe tobacco. Haha And I can ferry Gawith and Esoterica back with me on return trips!

I was thinking of going to smoking pipes myself and ordering to their hotel, but I don't want to put my friends out by carting a load of tobacco home with them. I'm in no shortage of tobacco for the rate I go through it. |

Paddy, your desire not to overburden your friends on their trip is commendable, but them bringing back 3 tins is hardly a burden, and I bet they would be glad to do so.
