Now we have really got into the summer festivities, what are your summer blends?
Any summer-themed aromatics, non-aromatics? Fourth of July or patriotic themed tobaccos?
I've been fond of C&D's Founding Fathers this time of year.

Fourth of July is definitely a night for an expensive cigar and a small batch bourbon.

I believe that blends (like music) go with times of the year. I enjoy blends like C&D Yorktown, Peretti Cuban Mixture, Savinelli Brunello Flake (and most Virginia blends) are very good summer blends.
Alternatively, Latakia (and dark fired Kentucky) blends with their smokiness, are more winter time.
Great thread!

No seasonal preference here, I just smoke whatever suits my mood at the given time.

I don't have any preferences either. However, I suppose I would lean to the aromatics or perhaps light English blends like Presbyterian or Wild Atlantic or King Charles mixture.

Virginias get smoked more in the summer for me and I usually pull a really old tin or two to enjoy during that time. Right now I'm working on a tin of Germain's Brown Flake from the early 2000's.

I am pretty much non-seasonal when it comes to which tobacco to choose for the evening smokes; whatever strikes my fancy.

Anytime is Virginia time for me.
Side note: the 4th of July is my favorite holiday, it always has been. Even the year I smashed the end of my thumb off with a hammer. It will be a good day for a few pipes and s couple of cigars.

When it's too hot to smoke, I can still smoke Candy Cane Cocoa. π€

Too hot to smoke? Never! I'll smoke whatever takes my fancy regardless of the weather. I've been in SE Asia when it was like 42 Celsius and 100% humidity. Walked passed construction workers smoking Camels with a bit of Lao banter. Openly drinking Beer Leos on lunch break. No idea how they do it. Too hot to smoke for me.
Oddly enough, my 4th of July smokes were Prince Albert and Carter Hall.

When I was on building sites starting in the late 70's, many European fellas had a long neck of beer [750ml] before work even started. Many building workers would have a long neck of beer for morning tea & lunch.
Especially in the heat, beer slows me down & makes me drowsy so I refrained. A few bosses who liked a beer often would suggest that we go to the pub for a counter lunch & a few beers. My stock response was that if I went to the pub at lunch time, it meant that I wasn't returning to work for the day. One boss thought that I was kidding & had to learn the hard way. Funny thing was; a joint of whacky baccy after lunch would give us a burst of energy & enthusiasm. One really straight contractor would often comment on our particularly good mood & after lunch work effort but never figured it out. How times have changed. O.H.&S will actually breath test workers if they suspect that they've had a beer at work & some work places have introduced drug testing. We really are turning into a nanny state run by control freaks. Stalin would be proud.

It reminds me of one place whom I work with occasionally; The pencil pushers at Penrith council thought it a wonderful idea to introduce random drug testing of workers, many of whom smoke pot after hours.
Naturally the workers were outraged. Their union rep was a smart fella who calmed them down by suggesting that they agree, as long as the testing applied to councils entire workforce from the Mayor down. Suddenly, surprise surprise, the pencil pushers thought that a terrible idea & dropped the proposal entirely.
