I Online I can’t find any Peterson blends or tins, but my local pipe shop has new or what appeared to look like new tins, but no flakes which is what I was wanting. Online it says no longer available but pipe store had full shelves of Peterson tins and some Peterson bulk. The pipe store has changed drastically over the past 5 years. It used to be 95% pipe smokers but now it’s 95% cigar smokers. I checked their online store and no Peterson tins but I seen 12-15 different tins and 5-8 of each on shelves. Anyone know what is going on with Peterson tobacco?

Peterson tobaccos was recently acquired by (I think) Kohlhasse and Kopf. Existing stock ran out then they (K&K) announced a range of Peterson tobaccos that would be released in the coming months. They even put out a list of what Peterson tobaccos are going into production. I think there was another thread on this on the Patch. I don't know if the K&K Peterson releases are in stores yet. You might check Smokingpipes online to see if they have them in.

Note: Smokingpipes.com has quite a few Peterson tobaccos in stock. Not sure if it has the ones you are looking for.

Still manufactured but not the same.....especially University Flake. Perry nailed the manufacturer now.

I cellared a bunch of Old Dublin, but not University Flake. I'll have to try a few out to see how they've changed.

Yeah. I heard about this early enough to grab quite a few blends. That way when the olde tymers get to reminiscing about how the old stuff, I'll be in the loop. haha I wasn't able to get my hands on any University Flake however. Hope the new stuff is as close as possible(or better).
I think I saw that they intend to change the names up a bit and drop a few, if I'm not mistaken.

On A Similar Note (I don't feel it is too far off topic, especially since the original question has been answered, but)
Is something happening with Dan Tobacco? I have noticed their stock is very scarce. Not to get the rumour mill churning, but I read some months back that they were considering forgoing the American market due to the new regulations being a pain.

I think there's also a limited supply, or maybe even a cessation of supply to the USA. In the UK I've access to all the peterson blends.

The article states that STG has already been making most of the Peterson blends. When did K&K make them?

A lady proprietor up in Phoenix at a small cigar store told me that Dan was to be no more in the US market, but she was trying to get me to buy some price gouged tins.

Well she said the same thing about them having no desire to deal with FDA regs...so two people independently said the same thing...this all happened right after McClellands shuttering the place, she was riding the wave.

I wish I could site my source. I heard the rumour just before the McC rush. I bought a 500g sack of Devil's Holiday straight away. Haha Foolish in hindsight, because I smoke nowhere near enough of the stuff to get it used up before it goes downhill. Maybe I should open her up and send samples to the aro-hounds here who haven't gotten to try it. Maybe I'll bring it up again after I'm done with my summer adventures and we see if any has found its way back to SP by then.

I only got some conosuirs blend to try and I may try their new flakes. Every time a brand changes hands blends seem to taste different to me so hopefully it’ll get better with a new blender.
I have about 3/4 of a lb of EMP left but it’s missing something that the previous company had. It seems to be missing the slight spicy flavor that I liked best about EMP. I used to always reach for EMP for my first 1-3 bowls but now it’s an occasional smoke.

Let meld together a few days, smoke a bowl......might be what your looking for......goid luck👌👍👍
