adding my greets & happy/safe one Thurs. I'll be doing a local 5k run/walk like usual. As a race-walker, seems I can stay with anybody in my age group, even a few in the 70-75 age group as a walker.
Of course, leaving the roads to the drunks

Three of the first five U.S. presidents died on July 4. John Adams and Thomas Jefferson died in 1826, the 50th anniversary of the country's birth. Adams' last words were βThomas Jefferson still survives.β James Monroe, the fifth president, died five years later in 1831. Truly remarkable men, that entered the stage at a providential time in our nation...dumb luck? I think not...providence played a central role in memorializing these patriots.

Severe thunderstorms here in the south suburbs of Denver right now. Mother Nature is putting on her own light show. Walls are shaking with the thunder. We have had three rounds of hail this afternoon. Garden is ok, so far, I think. Lots of rain has cooled it down about twenty degrees outside. At least all the roofs will be good and wet.
