opps...I did NOT see that. Apologies mods. No need to apologise to the mods, mate. I just hate repeating myself, so I posted the link I appreciate that, but I hate duplicating what's already been started. Not sure how I missed it.

I'm curious as to the thoughts behind our usernames. Anyone care to share how they came up with their username? Mine is simple... The mm legend was pretty much my first pipe and I love it. Mine is rather simple, I used to be a professional chef. ExChef

Back in the day as a young lad standing in line with my Mother at the drugstore waiting for prescription's to be filled I would stare at all the colored Grabows on the big rack and say to myself someday I'm gonna have me a Colorduke pipe.

First name + first syllable of last name. Coworkers started calling me that when I was 19 or 20, and it's followed me ever since. Walked in the door at my present job (18 years ago), and with an email format of first 3 letters of first & last name...naturally, my email was joeman@.....so it just continues.

I am an old D&D gamer from way back when it all began. I picked this name for my first wizard character. I usually play that class with zver as the name. I also use it for npc wizards I have the players encounter when they play one of my campaigns.

only one I've ever used since we got 1st computer in '01. Means just that I'm nobody important in any way. Just an old fart of 77 who enjoys smoking a pipe & infrequent cigar (outside). I've just never been one to hide where I live or where I was borned (or according to some.....hatched)! Rochester, NY) I'm erevelant (sp) in any case. Ed Duncan, Batavia, NY. You're relevant to us, Ed. Agreed. Wouldn't be as nice around here without him...

When I first signed up to AOL cigarmaster was taken so I checked on cigrmaster and that was not taken. That was back in 1995 I think. I was big into cigars back then but it was not my handle in the cigar world. In the cigar world I was known as The Master. I was fairly well known as I was the one who started the Scumbag list in 1997 which outted any bad traders and sellers of fake Cuban cigars. I was judge, jury and executioner of who went on the list.
My email addresses for years had the cigrmaster as part of the address and when I signed up originally at smokersforum.uk years ago I used it. Since then I have used it at every site I have joined.

I be a fan of Herman Melville. Moby Dick is a favorite of mine. Tashtego was the third Harpooner on the old Pequod. It would be pretentious of me to use the name "Queequeg" or "Daggoo" or "Tashtego". So, I just adopted a similar name and call him brother.
"Starbuck" is out for obvious reasons.
"Stubb" was another choice.
I tried using "Daggoo" on another forum but that turned into "Dogdoo". I was not amused.

My name is Sam Wolf and some people call me the โWolfmanโ. I thought it more appropriate than some of the names my first wife called me. You can reveal them here. You're among friends and we won't tell. (I can keep a secret. It's the ones I tell it to that can't).

My parents named me after my maternal grandfather when I was born. He was a pipe smoker. I inherited his genes.

Well I can't say I'm all original equipment. Right knee replaced in 2013. Left above knee amputation in 1986. All I can say is I have 3 things against me I'm insane, I'm a Marine and I'm of Irish heritage. If it wasn't for these three things I would have been a parasite on society.

No. You'r Don Francisco's sister. Great movie if you're a Woody Allen fan. Have you seen The Curse of the Jade Scorpion? It's another fun Woody Allen film that is often overlooked.
