My son went to JR's in Mooresville NC to buy me some tobacco for my birthday..They told him that they still sell pipes and tobacco online,but they no longer sell them in the store..My guess is they no longer have anyone who knows how to sell them.

And their online selection has thinned down. I used to buy BJ Long pipe cleaners from them, but they’ve not been in stock for some time.

They still let us hold our pipe Club meets there on the third Sunday of the month, come join us.

happen to know if the formerly huge store just off I-95 at Selma, NC still in bizness? Yrs ago, Lew (Rothman)owned the entire block. In addition to the cigar store, large amt of general mdse in another attached one. Clothing, fragrences, kitchen supplies etc. Larger than about any WallyWorld. Heard that the only one still alive recently....cigars, small selection of pipe baccy. '09 was last time we got down that way.

If you are a pipe smoker, and they dissolved pipe related stuff, no reason to visit them.

I recently visited them and they have a large walk in humidor a bit smaller than the average 7-11 probably, cigarettes and e-cigs in the main suite area, small pipe tobacco section in the corner. No longer have the general merchandise as far as I saw. I was in the area for work and it was a suggested stop.

If you are a pipe smoker, and they dissolved pipe related stuff, no reason to visit them. They are going to let us continue our meets there as we buy drinks from the bar, and cigars too, so they will make money from us being there. |

I went to one that was in or near Winston Salem. Was in a shopping center. Wonder if its still open.
