I agree but the flavor profile is much more complex and satisfying. The filler of the VSG I believe is the same as the Opus X. Let me do some digging on that before I get quoted on it. Stay tuned I may be wrong but I think you have the VSG and the Anejo mixed up.The Anejo and the Opus supposedly have the same filler/binder but I have never heard that of the VSG.I've smoked all three,I like all three,VSG,Anejo,Opus…….in that order. The Anejo and Opus are supposedly similar in binder and filler yes. I believe I had read at some point that Fuente was going to produce a cigar for Levin called the Ashton crown that supposedly had a similar binder and filler as well as the Rosado wrapper. I believe the story was that since Carlito Fuente used all the rosado wrapper for his Opus line, he decided to then use a VSG wrapper on Levins brand and then they rename it. It was years ago that I read this so I could be missing some detail

I like Kuba Kuba but prefer the Blondie nothing like a little Acid once in while to mix things up.

Partagas Black Label Gigante...a box of 20 is suppose to hit the mailbox tomorrow.
Considering the heat on a weeklong trip, I hope they don’t come looking like cheroots.

This was a recent article I received and thought it was pretty interesting:

They sent an Rh Meter around the country in a box and tracked it's temp and humidity. As a result, they recommend at least 10-15 days of rest after unboxing … I'd say closer to 21 days personally.

There are never any cigars in the mail. We in Washington cannot be trusted to manage our own lives, so we are limited to whatever can be taxed at an outrageous rate (oh, and because the government is going to make us less unhealthy, whether we want it or not).
Oops, did I use my out loud voice for that?

DeWayne was right (kudos!). We can buy real cigars, assuming they're not "little" cigars, through the mail. Apparently however, the vast number of underage pipe smokers has resulted in the continuing ban on pipe tobacco through the mail.
I wonder if there's any truth behind the meme of the fatcat politician in the cigar-smoke filled room?

Not actually in the mail...
I just went across the border into a little reservation town in Idaho about 20 miles away to get cheap diesel. I actually found a smoke shop there with a humidor, and picked up 3 cigars from brands Ive never tried before.
1 ea Saint Luis Rey Series G Churchill 1 ea Onyx Reserve 1 ea H Upmann 1844 Reserve

Dewayne I believe you will like the H Upmann Reserve, the Saint Luis Rey is touted by a rabid cigar smoker on another forum, I like the H Upmann Vintage Cameroon, ordered 5 H Upmann Hisponialo, and got a deal on Nicaraguan overruns supposedly a well known brand 20 for 20$, if they don’t pan out, I’ll smoke them cutting grass.

I give 1 week of rest for each day my cigars are in transit. If it take 2-3 weeks to get them (as was the last order from overseas), the box will go in the humi for 14-21 weeks before I smoke one.

When it comes to humidors I have switched to all Plano 50cal boxes 161298 they have a O-ring seal and stay perfect. Throw in some cedar dead man blanks and a sheet or two of cedar and a Boveda or humidor pack of your liking and forget it. Now I am up to three chock full and could not be happier. Just open them up every now and again to exchange air and that's it. They even have a small box to throw you cutters and lighters built into the top. At fifteen bucks a pop they will pay for them selves by not having to buy juice or packs. Sold online and at big box sporting good stores.

I was going to suggest something along the lines of what lizardonarock said as it's VERY difficult to maintain proper RH in those units.
That Plano box sounds good but the dimensions are fairly small as opposed to some of the Tupperware or Rubbermaid containers.
I've filled three large Rubbermaid containers and am going to build a "Coolidor" next with a small circulating fan inside.

Im using these square glass jars now. They're about 3.00 each at the local store. That's 20 Gigantes,a Bovida pack and a couple of cedar strips in there. I currently have 3 of these jars.

Is that humidity on the glass or just a haze? Any idea what the RH inside the jar is?

That's the way to do it. My CAD runs in short spurts as does my cigar smoking season.
