I found a blank book and am going to make it my pipe smoking journal. I'd like to include neat quotes and poems in it. Do you have any to share?

Hi, from a pipe And Pouch , the smokers own book of poetry, enjoy the weekend all, bye.
MY PIPE. When love grows cool, thy fire still warms me; When friends are fled, thy presence charms me. If thou art full, though purse be bare, I smoke, and cast away all care!

CLOUDS. Mortals say their heart is light When the clouds around disperse; Clouds to gather, thick as night, Is the smoker's universe.
From the German of Bauernfeld.

nice one! When hubby gets overtired and sleepy, he gets silly. Once when he was silly he wrote a trapping song to the tune of "Frosty the Snowman." I will try to find the words and share them, lol.

Hi Lady M, I always keep this pinned to my bedside wall in memory of Shenandoah & Ulysees .... A CONFEDERATE SOLDIER'S PRAYER Author Unknown, (Attributed to a battle weary C.S.A soldier near the end of the war)
I asked God for strength, that I might achieve; I was made weak, that I might learn humbly to obey. I asked for health, that I might do greater things; I was given infirmity, that I might do better things. I asked for riches, that I might be happy; I was given poverty, that I might be wise. I asked for power, that I might have the praise of men; I was given weakness, that I might feel the need of God. I asked for all things, that I might enjoy life; I was given life, that I might enjoy all things. I got nothing that I asked for, but everything I hoped for. Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered. I am among all men most richly blessed.
I will smoke my old corncob with Uncle Tom at the Briar Patch on the Dock of Liverpool bay until the tide carries me away.....😁
