Apparently it is either new/coming to market soon. On another forum, JimInks reports smoking initial 2 bowls, but no further impressions.

Nice … I'll have to try that one!
The new Amphora Burley they released is really good.

I don't know why, but pouch blends make me feel like, "For what reason didn't they put it in a tin?". I guess because OTCs come in pouches. I didn't like Amphora Red. Is the Burley that good? I'm very interested in it, and the Kentucky.

Jason, do you like Solani ABF? If you do then I think you'd find Amphora Burley in that wheelhouse but with a pinch of Virginia and DFK.

I just remembered that I was going to send you a couple other Burleys anyway … you gotta' remind me sometimes.
Anyway, I'll toss some of this one in the mix so you can sample before you buy.

I don't like reminding people to send me free stuff. Then it's like asking, and I'm proud like Pa Ingalls. Send away, though, when you think of it! ;-)

Pa Ingalls was very wise … I also enjoyed Ralph Waite from The Waltons.
Those kind of wholesome, yet entertaining, shows are quite lacking today.
… and now back to the Amphora discussion …

When you get the Burley Blend sample don't inhale it. I am smoking some now and with my fan running, just accidentally inhaled a full draw. Boy Howdy!

We have amphora original and red over here. I'm hoping the burley and kentucky will also come our way... Not holding my breath though.

Looking forward to this for sure. Amphora has yet to disappoint me.

As in Dark Fired. Hmm, that sounds very interesting!

I really like the Amphora Kentucky and am looking to try others. I love Orlik Golden Sliced so the first one I will be ordering is their DFK. Other recommendations?

Amphora Kentucky in the self-restored old Malaga twin-bore stemmed Acorn from the Arizona Old Coot Cabinet lot.
This blend is the most pleasant surprise of the last few years!

Apparently the Orlik DFK is heavily topped. Pass! Was browsing through the thread and was about to swing by to say this. Its still a good tobacco IMO but if that really clear kentucky flavor is what you're gunning for it will definitely interfere. If you've never had Mac Baren Old Dark Fired I would give it a shot! Seeing as they make Amphora anyway you'd probably enjoy.

Funny this thread is on the first page. I just spoke with a buddy on the phone today who asked me if I ever tried this Amphora Kentucky. I said no, never even crossed my mind. He said it was a stout smoke that kicked him in the gut. He mentioned the taste lingered with him for hours.

On my third pouch of this and probably my fifth pouch of the Burley ... good smokes, especially in a Cob.
