Our not yet one month old grandson is in the hospital for the second day. He is being kept overnight for more observation. His hands and feet turned blue at dinner yesterday, so my son and daughter in law, took him to the hospital. He was looking normal again by the time they got there. His breathing has been normal through it all. They have run some tests and have ruled out several things. They detected a heart murmur today, but lots of babies have murmurs with no ill effect. They are being extra thorough and don't seem to think it is anything critical. Poor kids are living at the hospital and are very tired. Praying that our little Kace can come home tomorrow with a clean bill of health.

Prayers for him tonight and every night until he is back home and doing fine. Sorry for your trauma...children are fragile contrary to what most people think.

Thank you brothers. I strongly believe in the power of prayer and appreciate the kind thoughts. I hope to hear good news in the morning. Kind of sucks that the hospital will only let one other family member at a time in to be with the three of them. We have to tag team our visitation.

Sorry to hear about that, Don. First thing that came to mind was Raynaud's Syndrome but they probably considered that first as well. All the best to you and your family and I hope they are home soon.

Don this is just for you, a very good friend a retired Colonel in the Air Force bought a RV and asked me to accompany him on a trip from Louisiana Alabama and Florida, I got a months vac and said let’s go. When we were leaving his daughter went into labor in Covington and it would be his first grandchild, so we would drop in and see it. Well she had complications and we were told he couldn’t see her, he was crestfallen, I told him wait, I went to the Drs changeroom, borrowed 2 white coats, couple of stehascopes and Viola we were Drs, we went into the room, he saw his grandchild, then we scouted out leaving the coats in the hall. That made his day, we talked about it the whole trip.

Well, they are home from the hospital now. Son went back to work, but I am not sure how he is able to do anything while worrying about his boy. The doctors identified a leaky heart valve and enlarged aorta in my grandson's heart. Not sure where things go from this point forward. We were not there when they got the diagnosis and were released. My son was never diagnosed with anything like this and we are now wondering if he has undiscovered heart anomalies too. Going to push for him to get a full cardio workup as soon as he can. I have an aunt who passed away in her fifties that had an enlarged heart and a pacemaker a first cousin has the same thing, both on my Dad's side. Dad and I have never had any issues detected, but who knows what can be missed. Both of us have high blood pressure. Thanks for the kind words and thoughts, all.

Cardiology has progressed so much just from a few years ago. Tain't like it used to be. Doesn't help your anxiety a bit, but prayers sent.
