One of the objectives of this community is the open sharing of information. In that spirit, we will share relevant links from across the community when we find that they are of value to our members. Some of you may not be members over at PipesMagazine, but their weekly radio show features some great interviews with prominent people within our community. Their most recent episode is an interview with William Serad. William is a member of the Philadelphia Morley's Pipe Club, and has a wealth of information related to our hobby. Whether it's pipes, tobacco blending or tobacciana history, William is sure to keep you engaged and entertained with his wit. I encourage everyone to listen when you have a chance. Enjoy! Sparks:
I listened to this episode, but was disappointed (not in Mr. Serad) because it was not one of Mr. Levine's better efforts. For some reason he seemed ill at ease, and his discomfiture was audible (at least to me).
I wish that Mr. Levine would have asked about Mr. Serad's pipe-smoking lineage, as one of his grandfathers was apparently a smoker and appeared in print advertisements for The American Tobacco Company's Half and Half blend. I also wish that he would have discussed Mr. Serad's favorites from the blends which he reviewed in his Trial By Fire column. The compiled, published version of his Trial By Fire reviews is one which I wish would be reprinted, as I find that Mr. Serad's palate seems to mirror my own.

Yes, I do think Brian could have gone a bit deeper in this interview, but in general any conversation with William is always enjoyable.
Maybe, if I can get him to agree, I'll try to nail him down for a little Q&A at one of our Morley's meetings.
