Is that all I was worried they could no longer install spyware and sell member information. What a relief! well, this could be kinda bad, because MANY a carver will post a pic to Insty and put "available", so it's understood that you PM the carver if you're interested. I'm sure there will be some kind of workaround, but Insty has made reaching your base SO MUCH easier, and if that plug gets pulled, it's pretty crappy. I know they're a private company, and can do whatever, but that doesn't mean it isn't aggravating. Can't we just have nice things?

Google Plus has a lot of pipe sellers showing their wares. But I can sympathize with your immediate concern in this matter.

That's a nasty policy for you and other carvers to have to deal with. From what I read, it referred to tobacco related content. Is there an argument that a pipe isn't necessarily tobacco related? I get the feeling it's not going to target pipes. I could be way off though.

Pipes were included in the FDA's deeming regulations and with worldwide antis, an argument for pipes as non-tobacco would fall flat.

We should all appreciate that they’re looking out for us. After all they know what’s best for me....Seriously, that’s one more argument why I loathe these social media sites.

The pipes can be used for smoking other things besides tobacco so that should move them to the top of the search engines. Some people are going after the whole deeming thing as unconstitutional, with a lot of support from some senators. it seems that the agencies have taken on too much that is under the purview of the Congress. If Congress ever stops fighting and gets to work deeming is dead. Just my 2 cents for the morning. Carry on. Smoke'm if you got'm.

@duane
Would that be considered an aromatic?

@duane Would that be considered an aromatic? Mostly earthy with a bit of pine moss. I'd say more of a crossover blend.

The overreach of the various government agencies is a flagrant violation of the Constitution. The states will be in rebellion if it keeps up. The average American has no true idea what's going on.

This is just another example that puts the "facebook/Google/ Youtube are only guided by financial reasons", as pure, unadulterated bullcrap. They think of themselves as intellectually superior, knowing good from evil, and it is their job to persuade people on how they should think and what is acceptable in their worldview, in the case of a consignee of mine that shuttered his business two days ago, he went from having a viral website to nothing...thanks to Google using their "magic" with algorithmic nonsense on what they deem socially acceptable...he was paying big money to Google in the way of ad revenue, but his business model did not fit with their accepted practices, and they hosed him...And his business was perfectly legal, and he abided by all the laws.
Project Veritas has done yeoman's work in exposing the nonsense of big tech...yeah, people will immediately complain that they (project Veritas) have a political worldview, but they effectively make the case that it isn't just about their financial greed, and they have the players, ( whistleblowers and architects of the nonsense) on video exposing the company or themselves for what they are...it goes to the core of their desire to control information, and impose their worldview as to what they deem societally unacceptable....pipe smokers and tobacco need to be disposed of as yesterday's rubbish....the intellectually lazy will poo-poo it though, or if it is conveniently agreeable within their philisophical wheelhouse.
