First some background ,
Ben the great is my dearest friend ;not only is he the oldest kid I know, at 72 ,he has a funny story ,and a smile to brighten any day. Our friendship, and the nic-name came from an early meeting of ours ,where he sold me two, like new Kaywoodie Standards from1968 for 15 bucks...a non-smoker ,Ben loves estate sales ,and watches out for pipes for me.
this morning Ben came for his weekly supply of tomatoes {he's a city kid who's face lights up when he enters my garden}and when he took his bucket of veggies to the truck he returned with a mid sized cigar humidor ...it's cherry finished and has the Thompson cigar co emblem on top ,this works out fine , as my last name is Thompson...not much of a cigar smoker ,so this will be a fine home for pouch tobacco and many other small collectables.

I was gifted a humidor several years ago by a dear friend. Always makes me smile when I walk past, look at, or open it to grab a stick.
Enjoy it Mr. Thompson

Friendship - the best gift of all! Congrats on your friendship with Ben the Great! You're so right ,Kelly, At our age I'm sure there's more than a few people that call them-selves our friend ,yet the ones that'll always be there for you are truly golden.
the bed he sleeps on once belonged to the wife and I...and my one and only Dunhill {a 62 shell briar}was a twelve dollar flee-market find of Bens.
much more than that, Ben and I can flop down on a talegate or picnic table, and speak honestly about money, love .and family ; this is friendship!
