Just got back from going to Goodwill with the wife. During our travels thought the various stores We found 2 books both are near new.
1. The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, paid $2.99 for it. 2. The Complete Sherlock Holmes, paid $3.99 for it.
These books came at the right time. I am not able to work in my shop for about 2 weeks.
Now to dig out my church wardens and try to find a good baccy.

You are supposed to smoke a calabash and smoke the tobacco you keep in a Perssion slipper you keep on the mantle !

I just found a Gourd Calabash in an antique store. With my hands I dare not smoke it. As for a slipper no mantel to place it. Will have to find a blend the Holmes or Conan Doyle might have smoked.

My wife and I wandered around a thrift store yesterday. I saw two pipes, but I was not impressed. I did pick up an enjoyable book. The chief of police smoked a rancid cigar to help define his tough character.
