6 months ago I bought 2 oz of C&D's Yorktown in bulk and was knocked on my a*s by how good it was ! It's an all Va blend of stoved red vas with bright va added then the restove it and finally add straight red va to it. No peique or burley to diminish the qualitys of pure straight Va! The stoved red va adds a dark sweetness with the bright Va adding some nice citrus withe straight red va rounding out the blend . It does not bite, smokes cool and evenly leaving a dry ash when done. No goop at the bottom of the bowl just a nice grey ash to dump out! I have noticed a slight difference in the bulk vs tinned in that the bulk has a bit more sharpness to it as opposed to the tinned but my tin was dated 2018 and I think was due to the aging and vaccum tinning proccess. Both smoked the same and I've since put a pound of bulk up to age and am smoking out of the tins . After smoking what I think was the best all Va blend ever made , Royal Yacht, I think I've found my replacement ! Any of you Va smokers smoke this blend? Curious about your thoughts if you do as it seems as though it's never mentioned here !

I've recently started smoking it. At first it seemed flat and boring. But, the more of it I smoke, the more I like it. It packs easy, burns great, and the flavor seems to be getting better and better. I'm sure some age would really make this one shine. I need to add more to my next order.

Yorktown is a favorite and one of my regular Virginia’s. I’ve only bought it in bulk. monbla256 I’m happy it fills the Royal Yacht void.

Yorktown is a favorite of mine, one of the very few C&D blends that I find worth smoking. I got in a couple of pounds of it a month ago.

Let me put it this way, I have seven pounds in my cellar, and I typically smoke once per day. I love this blend! Glad you and others like it too!

Yorktown is two thumbs up. C&D Virginias are very underrated IMHO.

I make notes on everything I smoke and here is what my personal review says: It's a straight virginia that has a smell of plums and figs out of the tin. It is a really nice smoke that has the advantage of being sold in bulk at a good price. I didn't add anymore to my cellar because I didn't put it above HH Pure Virginia, Capstan, or FVF.

I’ve got about two dozen tins of it in my cellar.
