this morning's pipe is smooth Peterson 312 system ,marked PeterWD over 1945-2009...it is, if I remember correctly, #97 from a special run of 110 done in honor of a very kind and knowledgeable member of the old Smokers Forum. The tobacco is Afterhours Flake that I rubbed out last night and left to dry; it's a tasty combo with black coffee to get me going this morning. The 312 is the only Pete I've ever purchased new.

Black Frigate was much better than the last batch I had...must have been old as it was dry as toast and very bland...next up is P/S English Oriental Supreme in a Comoy Golden Grain Canadian the first pipe I ever had bought back in 1961.

Remembered here too. His Pete's and Jaguar. His passing really shook that English forum and it was never quite the same.
