You have made a few good choices for a new pipe aficionado. Has someone has been doing their homework? Keep up the good work, you are soon (if not already) to become a fellow PAD and TAD sufferer and part of this dysfunctional collection of folks. Q Good to see you on the Patch!!!

I learned from a good group of people.

OK, here goes and probably never again. Though, they do say "never say never". This is my cellar of open for smoking blends and blending tobacco. Each jar is for one blend that is either of a pouch, tin or in the case of bulk blends, roughly two ounces. The only exception being blending tobacco’s being put in larger jars. Each shelf goes three jars deep so if you do the math, that’s over 200 blends open and ready to smoke at any given time depending on my mood but always stored with a tight twist on the lid and always making sure the rim is clear of debris so the tobacco remains in its best condition. The tins on the bottom shelf need to be put away in my long term storage area. That’s a whole other story and I have no plans of digging that out to take a picture. You may see a jar of two ounces of Plum Pudding Special Reserve on my smoking cellar shelf but what you don't see is the three pounds of it put away for long term storage.

I love how all the labels are pointing out and easily identifiable. Are they arranged in alphabetical order? Extra points if they are, but what a PITA that would be if you've to move half of them when a new blend gets jarred.

(Bowing) I'm not worthy! I'm not worthy! Oh don’t worry. You hang out here long enough, you’ll get a full cellar and an empty wallet, like the rest of us😆

Legend Lover I keep them by brand and type. So Sutliff is all together with English blends stacked together, Virginia together and so on. But only roughly. The main thing is that blender/brands are grouped together.

lol Yeah, it looks like my cat is wearing a locket but he isnt. At the time that picture was taken he had on a collar with a really large bell. He used to like to sneak attack as it was his way of playing. You can imagine this being an issue carrying a load of laundry, walking to the bathroom in the middle of the night and so on. The solution, strap a HUGE bell to him so it would give warning. HA!

Charlie, there is just something about that picture that causes my brain to reset repeatedly 1. What a mess 2. I'm jealous 3. How can he keep track of it all? 4. How could he ever smoke it all? 5. Where does he keep it all? 6. I'll bet his wife loved it all blocking the hallway. 7. What if there was a fire? 8. I want to pull up a chair and just stare at it for a while.

I can answer a few that makes sense...
1. What a mess I agree. 2. I'm jealous Don't ever be jealous of a sick puppy. 3. How can he keep track of it all? I keep one blend of each in an antique buffet cabinet, and yearly do a survey to replace missing items. 4. How could he ever smoke it all? I plan to live to 106 years, 4 months, 3 days. 5. Where does he keep it all? I have an antique Amoire that holds most of the cellared blends, rotational stuff goes into the buffet cabinet. 6. I'll bet his wife loved it all blocking the hallway. These exercises take place when she is out of town. 7. What if there was a fire? I would revert to Captain Black Grape for the rest of my life, taste bud flagellation for my sin of allowing it. 8. I want to pull up a chair and just stare at it for a while. I sometimes do too...and then I realize that Gollum is not a good role model.
