I'm already a fan of PS Luxury Navy Flake. It's one blend that just gets better with age. Not having tried the Bullseye Flake, I figured that it couldn't be much different to the Navy Flake except for the added Black Cavendish. That was until I recently received a nice sample from insignia100 [thank you, much appreciated] with my tin of Mississippi River Special Reserve. The Bullseye Flake is different enough to stand apart from the Navy Flake. I'm a fan. Although I don't like aromatics, I don't mind blends with a subtle topping. [Orlik Golden Sliced, MB Plumcake and Sutliff Early Morning Pipe Match are two that come to mind] In Bullseyes case, the slight vanilla from the Black Cavendish is complimentary, adding to [when it appears] rather than drowning out the natural taste of the Virginia's and Perique. Looks like I'll try to add a pound of Bullseye Flake to my cellar. I suspect that like the Navy Flake, the Bullseye Flake will also only get better with age.

Don't forget to try the Twist flake too, if you haven't already. I actually like the Twist better than the Bullseye, and it has tobacco from Zimbabwe in it, which I think is cool. I don't have anything else from Zimbabwe.

It just so happens I have a 1.5 lb box of LBF, LTF and LNF each and I am selling it all except .5 lb of LTF which I will jar up and age.
I will be posting this for sale as soon as I get caught up with work today.

Can't go wrong with PS-LBF with 5 years or more on it...makes it really good.

I don't have anything else from Zimbabwe. When I received a 2oz bag of Twist Flake, I was a bit surprised that it had a topping [caramel?] I'm not a fan of aromatics usually but I do like semi-aro's where the topping doesn't drown out the tobacco. Although I wouldn't buy a pound of TF to cellar, I do enjoy a bowl when I'm in the mood or when smoking around others.

Yep, it's great stuff. It and the Davidoff Medallions are the only VaPers I like. elric, your late to the party! 😉🤠 There's so many great blends out there that most of us have to experience most of them vicariously through the forums and TR.

Getting tobacco to my front door is a bit risky so I choose blends carefully. If I'm not sure I'll order 2 ounces. To be honest, I really didn't think that there'd be much of a difference between the Navy Flake and the Bullseye as they're both VaPers. So it was a pleasant surprise to find that they're quite different, in a good way. I'll be ordering a pound next order.

I would give them a min. of 2-3 years of aging. You can certainly sample after the first year maybe 6 months after and so on and see at what age they begin to become alive for you. Q PS The blend will blossom even more given more time.

Sorry for the delayed response. I'm glad you enjoyed the sample. I'm still developing a taste for VaPers, but I've got 4oz of the stuff jarred up and aging. I'm looking forward to trying it in a few months.

I'm looking forward to trying it in a few months. The Navy Flake improves a lot in just six months. The jar-note is simply delicious; dried fruit with a hint of citrus. So I'm keen to see how Bullseye develops over time. I've got 8oz of the Bullseye jarred and hope to be able to leave it alone for long enough for it to develop some.

I am smoking 3 year aged LTF as I type this. It has darkened, the sweetness of the coconut topping has toned way down and the base tobaccos are more prominent (and pleasing).

It is hard to go wrong with any of the three.

Unpopular Opinion: Bullseye Flake is OK and just OK. Looks cool but over all, its OK. It does get better with age but for my taste, I got other blends that I think are better.
Again, this is just an opinion. Bottom line with any blend, you like what you like and its your money and taste.

Good point, tastes are subjective.
There are better blends that I like also, but at the price point for quality flakes, PS really delivers the bang for the buck, especially when the PS sales take place. In the past, I think P&C does it in the fall.
Picking up a pound each of the Luxury Bulls eye Flake, Luxury Navy Flake, Luxury Twist has been a no brainer for me for a few years...reaping the rewards.

Flakes from PS are great for sure and I do love them so. Bullseye as I said I think is OK but Navy and Twist are real winners in my book.

I really like that I can fit 8 ounces of those cute little coins into a single pint jar.
