I'm sure we all have tobaccos that we go back to on a regular basis. Ones that we don't smoke all the time, but somehow they keep cropping up year after year. Mine are Luxury Navy Flake and Prince Albert. Which ones do you keep returning to?

Good question. I would be tempted to say Carter Hall, but it's coming more than it's going.

Butternut burley and Blackberry brandy are two that I smoke daily...just because they are that good!

Sparingly... Irish Condor Plug. Ah, yes...I have but a few flakes and a very small amount of plug left...for a very special day...whatever day that may be.

Every blend in my cellar gets smoked, some more than others. For me it boils down to availability.
Recently I discovered an opened tin of MacBaren Golden Extra that had been buried. A lovely Burley based broken flake with a very light topping. Tinned blends are in short supply here so I don't smoke more than one small/med bowl from each most days.

Orlick golden sliced. I love it but don't smoke it that often. Oh well at least my tins are getting some age on them.

I would say that it has to be Carter Hall. Also love to mix it with Butternut Burley.

For almost 30 years it was Royal Yacht as my daily smoke. Since it's gone, for now, I go between C&D's Yorktown and OGS !

For me, it would be Stonehaven. I enjoy a bowl or two every couple of months. No desire to smoke it more often, but it's nice to have it when I'm in the mood. Another would be Motzek Strang. I probably smoke a half a stick a year, if that. And about once a year I break open one of my stash of McClelland Red Virginias.

I "go back" to a stable of terrific English blends, so no one stands out as the most frequent "returnee". About ten such blends.

I haven't been at this that long but when I'm looking for something to smoke and can't make up my mind I grab some Presbyterian. It was the first non aro I tried and fell in love with it.

When I first discovered Penzance in 2011, that was it for me. It’s all i smoked and it was readily available in the city at Barclay Rex. One day it wasn’t available. I bought a tin of Margate. I was satisfied with it, but I wanted my penzance. After a few months they received a new shipment. By 2012 it was only available twice a year. Margate, Tree Mixture (Robert Lewis) Squadron Leader and Skiff became my regular blends since Penzance was rarely available anymore. So to answer the question, Penzance is that one that comes and goes for me. It will always have a special place in my heart. . . And now I really want a bowl. A fresh one - I prefer it that way.

Wolfman: LOL! What's to Become of the Brokenhearted? Tis better to have smoked and run out, then not to have smoked at all.

One thing that can really change an opinion on a blend is you can have a so-so experience, put it in the cellar for some years l, return to it, and say “Where have you been all my life?”

The ones I always go back to are HH Old Dark Fired and HH Latakia Flake. I would smoke Penzance and Stonehaven more often if I had an abundance of it, but my limited quantities force me to keep if for special occasions. Dunhill Flake is a go to as well, though I tend to moderate that now as I have a limited number of tins and it is no longer made (though hoping to see it come back out from STG).

I smoked virtually nothing other than Mac Baren Dark Twist for years and years. Now my eyes are opened to a big world of tobaccos... but I still crack a tin of Dark Twist from time to time.
