The only OTC I keep going back to is Prince Albert. I won't have any for a few months, and then an urge for the Prince hits and before I know it I'm smoking it at least once per day. It's a mystery as to why. What's your preferred OTC?

Five Brothers for the win! I used to smoke a lot of Carter Hall but don't really want to support RJ Reynolds anymore.

Carter Hall and Five Brothers. SWRA and Half & Half are my other favorites.

Since I can't smoke burley anymore and most OTC blends are burley based I don't smoke any anymore but I've just found out about Amphor's all Va blend which I'm going to try !

...why? Not much different to me than Big Oil, Big Pharma, etc ... I'd rather support a company that focuses on quality pipe tobacco and not chemical laden cigarettes.

If it counts, Match Holiday. It has enough body to hold up.

Uh, RJR doesn't make Carter Hall. Or Prince Albert. They are both made by John Middleton, which is owned by Altria. Altria also owns Phillip Morris. Not RJ Reynolds.

I'll try a pouch of PA periodically to supplement CH, but a tub of PA wears out its welcome. SWR occasionally, but I'd swear they've changed it again, judging by a pouch I bought this month.

Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend (not an OTC) scratches the OTC itch for me better than the best of them...

Once the plain packaging nonsense is introduced availability of choice only gets worse. At least Britain has her own blending houses so you should always have those brands available regardless if the horror of plain packaging eventuates.

The only OTC that I've tried that has been mentioned is Carter Hall. One could do a lot worse; it's actually quite a nice smoke IMO. Mild with little nicotine, it's right up my alley.
Burley blends that are describe as 'earthy' often taste like dirt to me. Not Carter Hall. It's earthiness translates as actual earthiness to my senses.
