Hope no firefighters were real close when the secondary explosion went off.

Hope no firefighters were real close when the secondary explosion went off. Everyone high tailed it out of there...you think of a compressed tanker exploding, and the shrapnel....In the first segment, I could not believe so many people stopped after the initial explosion...I would be raking the spurs.

The technical term for that secondary explosion is "bleve; an explosion caused by the rupture of a vessel containing a pressurized liquid that has reached temperatures above its boiling point." When I worked at a natural gas processing plant many years ago we were well schooled on the catastrophic potential in the LPG storage tank area. The highest priority with a fire in the tank farm was to keep the adjacent tanks cool while the initial fire burned out. Fortunately we never had such a fire. My highest priority would have been getting as far away as fast as possible. The official answer to the question "what is the first thing you start in the event of a fire" was, "the fire water pump"; my answer, "my car".

And I bleve it! I like your exit strategy also. Unless someone needs rescuing and it is possible, best to get out while you can, property can be rebuilt, my body cannot from a force like that.

Ain't that the truth! They are based in Phoenix, and I have delivered to their shop...driving through the truck graveyard is something else.
Sure Wished I Finished Training
I knew a gal that drove for Safeway, she told me she got her start at Swift..."Knowing what I know now, I had no business being behind the will after being trained."
