Then and now.... From 2014,  2019:  Stiil the same stuff, but lacking in presentation. The rope is smaller diameter, but it is more like my 2014 rope with age, and darker..maybe they are sitting on it longer? |

Hmmm, when I first read the title, I was thinking it would be the same rope (then and now). I can attest to the fact that it does shrink and get darker with age. It also gets a little smoother and "richer" with age. Let us know what you think of the differences if you can compare the two ropes. |

I can see the difference. That's a LOT of rope...what weight did you purchase?

The 2014 photo looks like they lopped off one of Princess Leia's side curls. They got the left side, so Leia's armed up and isn't going to lose that right side. Dang those light saber wielding Sith.   Actually, the 2019 Brown Bogie does look darker and richer, i.e., aged longer. Let us know how they compare, Charlie. I recently bought some too, but haven't opened the box yet. |

2014 looks like a nice beef laden diet 2019 looks like tofu or some vegan diet.

I can see the difference. That's a LOT of rope...what weight did you purchase? 500 grams/ 17.6 oz. I think that it is sold that way for the US markets because of the prohibition of bulk sales elsewhere. One thing I noticed on the paper bag that it used to come in:  All I can find about Beacon Light in regards to tobacco is: www.tobaccoreviews.com/blend/551/gawith-hoggarth-co-beacon-light-twistThe front of the bag also says Brown Bogie. All there is, is one review from 2014...I wonder if Happy Brown Bogie was previously called Beacon light twist, or if someone simply made a one time entry giving it that name. |
