I got that, but was wondering about the etymology of "corndog." Oh, sorry. I've no idea why they were called the corndog. Well, the corn part I get...after that, I'm lost. It’s a CORN cob bullDOG. You can order at corncobpipe.com. They did a square shank version back in the spring and now the diamond shank. These are limited edition releases for their 150th anniversary.

In case you don’t know, a corndog is also an American food. Put a wooden stick in the end of a hot dog, apply a thick coat of a corn meal dough, then deep fry. Google for images.

good haul & congrats to all. Yrs ago, Buffalo, NY had the Allen Street Arts Festival, quite a large show. TimWest & the Andersons had displays side by side. Of course sad that Steve passed, but heard that Roswitha (sp) still around. Great lady & always appreciated her sometimes "earthy" sense of humor.

Thanks for the double clarification, johnlawitzke. I knew about the snack, although I've never tried one. We don't get them over here. But I did NOT know about the etymology...but it is so simple now that you've explained it. It's kinda obvious.
