I am on here using my wife’s iPhone 6 & would like to post pics of my pipes & pipe area, but I am in the dark when it comes to posting pics from this iPhone. It takes nice photos but how do I get them on the forum? I know there must be a way to do it. If anyone knows how, then please let me know. It’s not easy being an old fart trying to use all the new tech stuff. Lol 😩Thank you.

At the risk of coming off as a smartass, a lot of ground has been covered on this subject. thebriarpatchforum.com/thread/1483/post-photosYou need to find an image hosting site, imgur.com/ Is a good site, which is a place to park your picture and then you copy and paste the link using code....there are Youtube sites that have tutorials, you can figure it out...if you cannot, a hands on with someone under 30 will show you. If you think you can do it, use this thread you started to practice on with posting images, no one will be offended...we all have had starting points. |

Read through what Chalie wrote, but on the mobile site, you can post pics by copying the link of the photos (from the imaging site you're using - and make sure the .jpg i t the end)...
When writing a message put the letters img in square brackets (img) <-----like this but with square brackets (if i use square brackets it won't appear in the post).
Then paste your link without any spaces between the square brackets and the link.
Then at the end of the link, write (/img) again in square brackets with no space between the last letter of the link and the square bracket.
e.g.
(img)www.mypictureinalink.jpg(/img)
But with SQUARE brackets.
You can do this on the desktop site too, but it's easier to press the button.

Ok, thanks guys. I’ll play around with it & try some of your ideas. I know I could do it easy from a desk top computer, but from this iPhone is harder to do. At some point I will be able to do it. 🧙🏼♂️

At some point I will be able to do it. 🧙🏼♂️ It is more of a pain from a phone because (as far as I know), you have to manually type the img code with brackets... the mobile app for the forum does not allow you to click on the picture icon and paste. If you download the imgur app, you can upload the pictures from your phone, and when on a laptop or PC, it is easy peasy. |

Having one's mobile browser use the desktop version of a website makes it so both the forum and Imgur look and function as if one is on their computer.

You can use Facebook as well, and it cost you nothing. Just upload an image (you can make it private if you want). Cut paste...done.

I am awful at fat fingering under normal circumstances, at least for me exercising the desktop option on the phone is a royal pain... I have to expand everything out. |

Postimage is great, as is Imgur. No one can say how long either will be around, but better than FB. (Some will refuse to go there). imgur.com/gallery/XCikrLp. Copied from Imgur on iPhone and pasted in using iPhone. Takes to image page, but doesn't embed. "https://i.imgur.com/WHM4cLx.jpg" pasted into webpage photo insert does, from laptop, not Phone.  |
