I had a delivery to the City Of Mesa Arizona Cemetery yesterday, saw a familiar face. And as Jimmy Webb wrote the song, a masterful execution...so long Hoss.

That's pretty cool. Did it take a while to find it?

So just out of curiosity ... what were you delivering to a cemetery?

He made a lot of great music and had a lot of fun along the way.

That's pretty cool. Did it take a while to find it? I knew he was buried there, when I saw my dispatch I looked up the plot location on findagrave.com. Literally a stones throw from where my tractor was parked.

So just out of curiosity ... what were you delivering to a cemetery? A rolling ladder for their warehouse.

He was a Rascal, albeit, a well liked one.

A buddy of mine named his first son Waylon, out of respect

I was fortunate to see Waylon at Wichita State University in 1977, Don Williams was the opening act....I spoke to the trucker on the way in, his Peterbilt had "Waylon Road lines" with his signature W that you see on the gravestone. I saw him with the Highwaymen in the 1990's at the Orpheum theater in Oakland for a black tie affair...the wife gave me a hard time about not wearing a black tie...Waylon took the stage and said "I see a lot of you are wearing black ties, forgive us for not doing so"...I elbowed the wife over that. He put on a great show...my brother in law was in a band that did the midwest circuit, mostly Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas, and was an opening act before the Outlaws really came on the scene.

b.t.w. Charlie, one of the most original posts seen here this year. Probably the first graveyard post...
