My wife and I feed animals and birds. In the evenings when the weather allows we sit on the porch talk, and watch the Squirrels and Birds eat. Most evenings just as it starts to get dark a Rabbit shows up to eat.It doesn't seem to care that we are there.I love smoking a bowl or two while I watch nature's critters..There's a lot of beauty in the world if one just notices it.

I back up to a lake I always enjoy the visits from the ducks and watching the critters in the cove. I never had time to enjoy the simple things when I was stilling working.

I have a variety of bird feeders (nyjer, suet, mealworms, seed mix, hummingbird nectar) in the back yard, and we enjoy watching the morning buffet crowd.
Sunflower seeds for the resident squirrel family.

I have a big backyard in an old subdivision that is surrounded on one side by woods. We have three bird feeders in the backyard that I keep supplied year round with birdseed and we have a large variety of birds - bluejays, cardinals, finches, mockingbirds and two different species of doves. Did I say doves? I'm talking birds that get as big as softballs. Then we occasionally get a hawk or two that likes to sit on the grandkids playset.
And we also have a large family of tree rats - I mean squirrels.
With the exception of the squirrels, the birds don't seem to mind when I sit in the backyard and have a pipe.

Love the nature that abounds all around our property...plenty of squirrels, birds, hawks of all kind and a really big owl that is almost as big as me.
